TRAVEL INFO
Eressos has hardly any all-inclusive bookings, beside the ”Aeolian Hotel”
There are mainly small cosy hotels and guesthouses. You have to be a bit independent to plan your travel. That’s maybe why the mainstream tourism haven’t got hold of this beautiful place yet.
Seasons :
Eressos has different season, so you can choose what are your preferences towards your holidays.
There is a 3km long, grey sandy beach where you can sunbath in some areas nude.
Skala Eressos is the village on the seaside and Eressos is the main local village 5km in the back hills from the beach. The valley around has beautiful landscape and very nice walks to offer.
After Greek Easter, from April on, the most places in Skala Eressos will open until end of September and partly October. A few restaurants will be open the whole year, as well as small supermarkets. In the village of Eressos everything is open the whole year.
The spring, April, May , June is the best time for guests who want to avoid the heat of the summer, like it peaceful, quiet and like hiking and other excursions.
The summer, June, July , August : In June it starts to get hotter, July and August it is often very hot , so that’s the time for relaxing, swimming, sunbathing and enjoying the nightlife.
August is very busy, mainly from Greek tourist.
September it is still hot enough to enjoy a beach holiday, and that’s the time where the woman festival is happening the first 2 weeks.
October and November are often still very pleasant and allow swimming.
The winter months, December, January, February and March, are unpredictable. It can have periods of spring like weather but also it can be very cold, windy and rainy.
Getting there :
In the summer months you will find charter flights to Lesbos – Mytiline. In the winter months you will need to travel via Athens.
Bus to Eressos :
Winter month`s :
13.15 mytiline – eressos , 6.15 eressos – mytiline
Summer month`s :
11.00 and 13.15 mytiline – eressos , 6.15 and 8.30 eressos mytiline
Sunday there is no bus !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

August and the first 2 weeks in September you should rather book your accommodation upfront, the other months you will be able to find a place to stay, on arrival.
