Located on one of the best beaches in Greece and surrounded by a lush green valley and volcanic hills, the Aumkara Apartments in Skala Eresos are the ideal get away for those who prefer an alternative to the crowded and commercialised holiday destinations in the tour operators brochures.
Aumkara Apartments is located just one minute from the 3km sandy beach of Skala Eresos and a few minutes from the village itself. We offer all our guests a warm welcome and we do our best to ensure you have a holiday to remember!
With balconies looking towards the sea and surrounding hills, our holiday apartments are spacious and comfortable and located in a quiet environment away from the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants. All our apartments have air-conditioning, kitchenettes, ensuite bathrooms with WC, wardrobes and dressing tables with mirrors. We provide hair dryers, all linen and towels (please note we do not provide beach towels) and all balconies have table and chairs. Most apartments have private balconies with sea views and all our kitchenettes are fully equipped for basic cooking.
Very popular with all our guests is our roof terrace which is open until sunset. It has 360 degree views of the bay and the valley all around. There are sofas for relaxing and sunbathing and a pergola for those who prefer the shade.
Our vegetable and herb garden – we use part of our flower beds to plant organic vegetables and herbs and guests are welcome to help themselves. We plant, mint, rocket, tomatoes, chillies, aubergines, peppers, courgettes and this year honey dew melons amongst other things. Our guests love chilling out on the roof terrace or balconies, eating food they prepared from the ingredients they just picked in the garden!
We have a small library of books in various languages and a small collection of games.
Free Wifi internet is available in most public areas and in some of the apartments
There is a daily housekeeping service, towels and sheets are changed twice a week at least and there is someone on hand everyday to help with information on the local area and advice on places to visit, car hire etc
A washing machine is available for those wishing to use it and we supply the soap and conditioner. – Please note there is a small charge for each wash.
We do our best to ensure you can settle into your apartment as soon as possible so when you arrive you will be able to check in immediately and if your room is not ready, you can leave your baggage with us while you wander off to explore or have something to eat. We also know what its like to arrive at your holiday accommodation after a long and tiring journey so we provide a bottle of water, some tea bags, a bottle of wine and a small snack. So you arrive you can just chill out, sit back and start to enjoy your holiday the Aumkara way!
